The United Kingdom ranks first, with a weekly Omicron case growth of 0.52 percent. GISAID recorded 1.17 million Omicron cases in the UK. Daily cases in this region increased by 0.03 percent compared to the previous day.
The United States follows, with a weekly growth in Omicron cases reaching 4.54 percent. Daily Omicron cases in the US increased by 0.55 percent compared to the previous day, totaling 1.06 million cases.
Next is Germany, with 279,570 Omicron cases (up 0.29%). France saw a 3.36 percent increase in Omicron cases, reaching 123,790, compared to the previous week. Japan experienced a 21.67 percent increase, reaching 90,659 cases compared to the previous week.
In Indonesia, the number of Omicron cases reached 11,325, a 0.11 percent increase compared to the previous day. Since its initial detection, Omicron cases in Indonesia have continued to rise.
