Top 10 Companies with the Highest Empathy Levels

Facebook topped the list as the world's most empathetic company, followed by Alphabet (Google) in second place. Facebook's achievement marks a rise from its second-place ranking the previous year. Microsoft, previously ranked first, dropped to sixth place. This ranking of 170 of the world's largest companies, from most to least empathetic, is the result of research by The Emphaty Business, published in the Harvard Business Review.

Facebook's top ranking is unsurprising, given its vast global user base spanning all segments of society. It remains a dominant social media platform despite the emergence of numerous competitors.

The empathy ranking considered various factors, including corporate ethics, leadership, internal culture, and brand perception on social media. The assessment also encompassed CEO performance, the proportion of women in the company, and the number of financial/accounting violations and scandals. The research even analyzed two million tweets between September 27th and October 16th, 2016.
