Average Length of Schooling for Muara Enim Residents Rises to 8.27 Years

The average length of schooling (ALS) for residents aged 25 and over in Muara Enim, South Sumatra, reached 8.27 years in 2024.

Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the ALS of the region's population was below the average for South Sumatra Province, which reached 8.57 years in 2024.

The ALS of Muara Enim residents increased by 0.13 years (1.6%) compared to the previous year, which was 8.14 years. Meanwhile, over the last five years, the ALS has increased by 0.49 years (6.3%).

This ALS indicates that the average Muara Enim resident only attends school up to the 8th grade. However, this ALS is still below the national average ALS of 8.85 years in 2024.
