According to a survey by theAsianparent Insights, 7 out of 10 mothers in Indonesia purchased instant seasoning products at offline stores in 2024.
Traditional small shops (warung) were the most chosen locations by mothers to buy instant seasoning directly, followed by minimarkets and supermarkets.
“Although less popular, traditional markets still contributed 14% of total purchases, indicating that traditional markets continue to serve a segment of the market,” theAsianparent Insights wrote in its report.
The following are the most frequently chosen channels by mothers in Indonesia when purchasing instant seasoning products offline in 2024:
- Traditional markets: 14%.
theAsianparent Insights also found that instant seasoning is a widely used product. This is primarily for popular dishes, such as fried chicken, fried fish, and rendang.
“Indofood Racik leads in satisfaction levels, followed by Bamboe and Sajiku, with almost all mothers expressing satisfaction with these brands,” said theAsianparent Insights.
This online survey was conducted in 2024 and involved 622 mothers in Indonesia aged 21-43 who purchased instant seasoning products at offline stores. The survey was carried out using a quantitative method.
