The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded that 280 regencies/cities have elderly vaccination coverage above the national average, which is currently recorded at 61.54 percent as of Friday, December 30, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with elderly vaccination rates exceeding 120.27 percent are Padang Panjang City, Solok City, South Jakarta City, Garut, and Yogyakarta City, with respective values of 298.1 percent, 187.57 percent, 128.58 percent, 121.99 percent, and 120.27 percent.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in elderly vaccination in most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily increase in elderly vaccination rates higher than before was recorded in 34 regencies/cities.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest elderly vaccination rates include Padang Panjang City, Solok City, and Pariaman City, with elderly vaccination rates of 298.1 percent, 187.57 percent, and 119.17 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
