Several districts/cities in East Nusa Tenggara province still record quite low second-dose vaccination rates compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include West Sumba Regency, Malaka Regency, and Kupang Regency.
As of today, in the vaccination program, these three regencies have only completed 252,910 second doses out of the expected target of 613,540 vaccine recipients.
West Sumba Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, the second-dose vaccination in this region only recorded 36.91 percent. This figure is the lowest compared to the other 22 districts/cities. Meanwhile, the first-dose achievement has reached 78.88 percent, or 229,670 vaccine recipients, as of today.
This district/city's vaccination program targets 196,070 participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination in West Sumba Regency last week was 366 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently recorded at 11,404 doses.
Next is Malaka Regency. For the second dose vaccination, this area is ranked second lowest. With a vaccination target of 136,060 participants, only 39.96 percent, or 54,363 participants, have been vaccinated.
The first-dose achievement is recorded at 72.18 percent, or 154,190 vaccine recipients. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination in Malaka Regency last week was 640 participants. Currently, the available vaccine stock is 11,890 doses.
Kupang Regency is ranked third. With a vaccination target of 281,420 participants, only 44.84 percent, or 126,190 participants, have received the second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination in Kupang Regency last week was 1,439 participants. Currently, the available vaccine stock is 39,284 doses.
Regarding the provincial-level vaccination achievement, the total first-dose vaccination in East Nusa Tenggara has reached 84.31 percent, or 3.23 million vaccine recipients. Meanwhile, the second-dose vaccination has reached 53.14 percent, reaching 2.04 million vaccine recipients.
