The National Criminal Information Center (Pusiknas) of the Indonesian National Police recorded 414,812 criminal cases reported across Indonesia from January 1 to December 24, 2025, an increase of 1.52% compared to 2024.

Compared to 2024, assault cases reported to the police in 2025 decreased by 7.06%, aggravated theft cases decreased by 1.5%, while drug-related cases increased by 7.6%.

Polda Sumatera Utara received the most reports of aggravated theft with 8,040 cases, as well as assault reports, which reached 5,516 cases.

Meanwhile, the most drug-related case reports were received by Polda Metro Jaya with 6,983 cases.
