Indonesia's COVID-19 Testing: 84,170 Specimens per Day (Sunday, July 24, 2022)

COVID-19 testing in Indonesia on Sunday, July 24, 2022, reached 84,170 specimens. This number is lower than the number of specimens tested the previous day. To date, a total of 102.86 million specimens have been examined.

The average number of specimens tested has increased. The average is 85,130 specimens per day throughout July. In June, the average COVID-19 test was 69,400 specimens per day.

The number of specimens tested includes antigen tests, Real Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests, and rapid molecular tests (TCM).

Meanwhile, the total number of people tested with RT-PCR on Sunday, July 24, 2022, was 16,370, bringing the total to 24.8 million people. Compared to the population, the ratio is 91,090 people per one million inhabitants.

In addition to specimen testing, to suppress the spread of COVID-19, the government urges the public to more strictly implement the 3M health protocols: wearing masks, washing hands with soap, and maintaining distance and avoiding crowds.
