The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 40 regencies/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 0.2 patients per 100,000 population/week (data as of Saturday, February 18, 2023).
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient utilization rates, exceeding 0.67 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Kediri City, Alor Regency, Blitar Regency, Blitar City, and Palangkaraya City, with respective values of 1.02, 0.95, 0.94, 0.69, and 0.67 patients per 100,000 population/week.
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient utilization in most regencies/cities outside Java. Nine regencies/cities recorded higher daily inpatient utilization than previously, while one regency/city showed lower utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization rates include Alor Regency, Palangkaraya City, and Kutai Barat Regency, with respective inpatient utilization rates of 0.95, 0.67, and 0.66 patients per 100,000 population/week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
