JCI Continues Strengthening Trend Towards 9,100 (Thursday, January 15, 2026)

The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) or IHSG rose 0.47% to 9,075.41 at the close of trading on Thursday (January 15, 2026).

This movement of the IHSG continued the strengthening trend that has been occurring since Tuesday (January 13, 2026), heading towards the 9,100 level.

Based on the IDX-IC Sectoral Index, five stock sectors strengthened today. The non-primary consumer goods sector led with a 1.15% increase, followed by the financial sector and the technology sector, which rose 1.14% and 0.59% respectively.

Meanwhile, six stock sectors declined. The industrial sector fell the deepest by 2.31%, followed by the transportation sector and the basic materials sector, which fell 0.97% and 0.76% respectively.

According to RTI Business data, the frequency of domestic stock trading today reached 3.37 million transactions. A total of 50.63 billion shares changed hands, with a total transaction value of Rp28.25 trillion.

As many as 339 stocks closed higher today, while 331 stocks weakened, and 133 stocks remained stagnant.

Today's top gainer was ZATA, which soared 35%, followed by ESTI, which rose 34.75%, and INOV, which surged 34.56%.

On the other hand, the issuer with code LUCK became the top loser after falling 13.25%, followed by DEFI and NICL, which corrected 12.03% and 11.32% respectively.

Unlike the IHSG, Asian stock markets tended to weaken this afternoon. The Nikkei Index fell 0.42% to 54,110.50; the Hang Seng Index fell 0.28% to 26,923.62; the Shanghai Index fell 0.33% to 4,112.60; while the Strait Times Index rose 0.43% to 4,833.34.
