A Snapcart survey reveals that 46% of Indonesian respondents spend around Rp10,000 to Rp50,000 per month on hair care products beyond shampoo. "This indicates that affordable hair care products dominate the market and remain a top choice for many," Snapcart wrote in its report, A Good Hair Day: Part 2.
Furthermore, 28% spend approximately Rp51,000 to Rp100,000 per month on hair care, and 15% spend over Rp100,000 monthly.
"On the other hand, 12% spend less than Rp10,000, showing that some consumers still prioritize the simplest and most budget-friendly options," Snapcart noted.
The survey also examined factors influencing respondent brand loyalty. 47% remain loyal because the product suits their hair type. Others prioritize results (42%) and value for money (39%).
"While effectiveness is a top priority, affordability shouldn't be overlooked, and brands must balance both aspects to maintain customer loyalty," Snapcart wrote.
Snapcart conducted this online survey in August 2025, targeting 1,715 respondents across various regions in Indonesia.
