The Ministry of Finance reported that Indonesia's State Budget (APBN) experienced a deficit of Rp135.7 trillion in February 2026. This figure equates to 0.53% of the gross domestic product (GDP).

"[The deficit] is still within the corridor of the 2026 APBN design," said Finance Minister Purbaya Yudha Sadewa at a press conference on the APBN KiTA, Wednesday (March 11, 2026).

However, the APBN deficit in February 2026 surged by 342.4% (year-on-year/yoy) compared to February last year, which amounted to Rp30.7 trillion or 0.13% of the GDP.

In February 2026, the realization of state revenue grew by 12.8% (yoy) to Rp358 trillion.

Meanwhile, the realization of state spending was higher, amounting to Rp493.8 trillion, a surge of 41.9% (yoy).

This spending was directed towards supporting the government's priority programs, maintaining public purchasing power, and boosting economic activity since the beginning of the year.
