What is the passenger production of Indonesian scheduled airlines?

Last year's total production of air passengers by scheduled airlines increased by 15.75 percent. Data from the Ministry of Transportation recorded a total of 99.74 million domestic and international air passengers in 2016, up from 86.15 million the previous year. Major airlines such as Lion Air, Garuda, Citilink, and Sriwijaya Air dominated domestic flights.

Indonesia's archipelagic nature and the efficiency of air travel make it a popular choice for the public. Total production of commercial air passengers for domestic routes in 2016 increased by 16.61 percent to 89.63 million. Meanwhile, the total production of international air passengers grew by 8.85 percent to 10.38 million.

The number of domestic flight arrivals reached 764,156, and international flights totaled 71,487. Domestic air travel distance reached 569,000 km, and international flights covered 162,000 km.
