According to a 2025 Jakpat survey, Indonesian viewers of Korean dramas (drakor) also pay attention to product placement within them.
Products promoted in drakor include cosmetics, packaged food and beverages, gadgets, fashion accessories, and even the types of vehicles used.
Jakpat notes that cosmetics and skincare product promotions are the most eye-catching, with 71% of viewers noticing them in drakor. Similarly, packaged food and beverages also attracted the attention of 67% of respondents.
“45% of respondents are interested in buying products promoted by their favorite actors/actresses,” Jakpat wrote in its report.
The following product promotions were most frequently noticed by Indonesian drakor viewers in 2025:
- Cosmetics or skincare products: 71%
- Packaged food and drinks: 67%
- Gadgets or technology used: 60%
- Ready-to-eat food and drinks: 58%
- Type of vehicle used: 42%
- Fashion accessories: 39%
- Clothing: 36%
The Jakpat survey was conducted online on April 28-29, 2025, involving 475 respondents who were aware of product placement in drakor. The survey's margin of error is below 5%.
