The Jakarta Provincial Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) reported that regional tax revenue in 2024 reached Rp44.46 trillion, or 98.85% of the target of Rp44.98 trillion.
This realization is up 2.15% from the previous year, which recorded Rp43.52 trillion.
Head of the Jakarta Provincial Bapenda, Lusiana Herawati, said that Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) and Land and Building Tax (PBB) were the largest contributors to regional tax revenue in 2023 and 2024.
"Motor Vehicle Tax and Land and Building Tax remain the largest contributors in both years, with an upward trend reflecting the effectiveness of management and supervision," said Lusiana in her official statement on Tuesday (7/1/2025).
Here are the details of the 5 largest contributors to Jakarta's tax revenue in 2024:
* Land and Building Tax (PBB): Rp9.96 trillion, 99.62% of the target.
* Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB): Rp9.65 trillion, 104.68% of the target.
* Motor Vehicle Transfer Fee (BBNKB): Rp6.64 trillion, 106.21% of the target.
* Land and Building Acquisition Tax (BPHTB): Rp6.1 trillion, 76.25% of the target.
* Cigarette Tax: Rp883.98 billion, 98.22% of the target.
Bapenda Jakarta stated that this achievement was achieved through various strategic steps such as updating tax object data; intensive tax collection; and strengthening the digital system to facilitate tax payments.
"The DKI Provincial Government hopes that this positive trend will continue in 2025, where the tax target is set higher, namely at Rp48 trillion," said Lusiana.
