Today's Food Prices (13/3) in Indonesia: Red Chili Peppers Rise, Onions Fall

Today, the prices of several food commodities in Indonesia were observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (March 13, 2026) at 14:23 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased.

Commodities that experienced price increases include bulk granulated sugar, shallots, bulk palm cooking oil, broiler chicken meat, and beef rump.

Meanwhile, the prices of some commodities such as red cayenne pepper, Honan garlic, premium rice, Minyakita, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chili pepper jumped the most by Rp915 (2.35%) to Rp39,799 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of Honan garlic fell the deepest by Rp81 (0.22%) to Rp36,146 per kg.

6. Curly Red Chili Pepper: Rp39,799 per kg (up 2.35%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp36,146 per kg (down 0.22%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp30,879 per kg (up 0.1%)
9. Packaged Premium Palm Cooking Oil: Rp21,180 per liter (up 0.02%)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,599 per liter (up 0.27%)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp17,941 per kg (up 0.1%)
12. Minyakita: Rp15,872 per liter (down 0.01%)
