According to the Indonesian Fintech Association (AFTECH), many financial technology (fintech) companies plan to increase their workforce.

The most sought-after employee skills are related to business management.

Based on their survey, the proportion of fintech companies needing employees in product development reached 23.6%, business development 23.6%, and sales/marketing 20.7%.

"In this case, the application of knowledge and skills related to business management science is important for job seekers," quoted from the AFTECH Annual Members Survey 2024 report.

Some companies also need employees in the fields of law/compliance (8.2%), customer service (6.8%), finance/accounting (6.1%), and design (2.5%).

"This means that the job fields needed by the fintech industry are quite diverse," said the AFTECH team.

AFTECH conducted this survey in April-May 2024, involving 131 respondent fintech companies that have joined their association.

The respondents have diverse business fields encompassing all fintech business models, including online payment providers, investment management, online loan collection/disbursement, and various other digital financial services including crypto transactions.
