Jakarta has the highest growth rate of new Facebook users in Indonesia. The *Empathic Marketing Social Media Marketing Report for Indonesia*, titled "A Strategy Guide for E-Commerce Companies to Improve Engagement and Conversion," shows that Facebook users in Jakarta grew by 22 percent—the highest compared to other cities.

Although not as high as Jakarta's growth, the increase in Facebook users in other major Indonesian cities is still significant, reaching 6 percent in Bandung, 5 percent in Medan, and 4 percent in Surabaya. Therefore, to reach a Facebook audience, targeting should not be limited to Jakarta but should encompass all of Indonesia, as other major cities offer considerable potential.

In Indonesia, the total active users of Mark Zuckerberg's social network reach 69 million. Facebook remains the most popular social media platform among Indonesians, even with the emergence of new social networks.
