In 2024, the growth of the Regional Gross Domestic Product (RGDP) of the government administration, defense, and mandatory social security sector in South Sumatra was recorded at 9.35%. This figure is higher compared to the previous year, which was recorded at Rp10.64 trillion. Previously, South Sumatra recorded a record growth in 2015 of 10.49%. With this growth record, it is evident that the position of the RGDP of the government administration, defense, and mandatory social security sector has continued to strengthen over the past six years.

Based on the data collection, the following are the 10 provinces with the highest RGDP points for the government administration, defense, and mandatory social security sector in the country.

Based on data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), DKI Jakarta recorded the highest RGDP for the government administration, defense, and mandatory social security sector, namely Rp66.75 trillion. The RGDP for the government administration, defense, and mandatory social security sector in DKI Jakarta currently accounts for 16.28% of the total across all provinces.

Next is East Java, which recorded an RGDP for the government administration, defense, and mandatory social security sector of Rp37.78 trillion, higher than the same period in the previous year. For annual data, the RGDP for the government administration, defense, and mandatory social security sector in this province increased by 7.78% compared to the previous year.
