The Charta Politika survey institute has released the electability ratings of political parties participating in the 2024 General Election. According to its survey results, only six parties are predicted to surpass the parliamentary threshold of a minimum 4% vote share.

PDI-P remains the party with the highest electability, at 26.3%, according to Charta Politika Executive Director Yunarto Wijaya.

Gerindra is in second place with 17.8% of the vote, followed by Golkar at 8.1%.

Next are PKB with 7.9% electability; Nasdem with 7.6%; and PKS with 6.9%.

Outside this list, Yunarto notes that several large parties risk failing to enter Parliament.

"I think several parties still have to fight to reach the parliamentary threshold. These include Demokrat (3.8%), PAN (3.1%), PPP (3.4%), and Perindo (2.8%)," said Yunarto during an online presentation of the survey on Monday (6/11/2023).

PSI, led by President Joko Widodo's youngest son, Kaesang Pangarep, is also predicted to fail to enter parliament, with an electability rating of only 0.9%.

"Kaesang seems to need to be more enthusiastic, campaigning actively, including putting up billboards of himself and his father. Because, as we see here, he's still far from the target to pass the parliamentary threshold," said Yunarto.

The remaining parties—Hanura, PBB, Gelora, Partai Buruh, Garuda, and Partai Ummat—have less than 1% electability.

This survey involved 2,400 respondents aged 17 and above or already married, from all provinces in Indonesia. The sample was taken using a multistage random sampling method.

Data collection was conducted from October 26-31, 2023, using face-to-face interviews. The margin of error is 2% with a 95% confidence level.
