Indonesia still faces numerous unresolved problems that the government has yet to fully address. These range from issues of law, politics, and economics to the welfare of the people.

Therefore, the public hopes that the prospective 2024 leaders will effectively address these various problems.

According to a Kurious survey from the Katadata Insight Center (KIC), the main issue that prospective 2024 leaders must immediately address is job availability. 77.9% of respondents believe this problem needs immediate attention.

Furthermore, 73.3% of respondents believe that the prospective 2024 leaders must eradicate corruption. 71.2% stated that poverty in Indonesia also requires immediate attention.

Next, 69.8% and 66.8% of respondents respectively indicated that law enforcement and food security/price stability of goods must be improved.

This survey involved 580 respondents across various regions of Indonesia, with 57.5% male and 42.5% female respondents.

More than half of the respondents were from Java (excluding Jakarta) at 64.3%, followed by Jakarta (15.3%), and Sumatra (10%). Respondents from Sulawesi, Kalimantan, Bali-Nusa Tenggara, and Maluku-Papua ranged from 0.5% to 3.4%.

Most respondents were aged between 35-44 years (31.8%), followed by the 25-34 year-old group (29.5%) and the 45-54 year-old group (23.3%).

The survey was conducted from April 27 to May 4, 2023, using the computer-assisted web interviewing (CAWI) method, with a margin of error of approximately 3.79% and a 95% confidence level.
