Irvian Bobby Mahendro is one of the suspects in a case of alleged extortion in the processing of occupational safety and health (K3) certificates within the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker).
He was named alongside his boss, former Deputy Minister of Manpower Immanuel Ebenezer Gerungan, alias Noel, in the same case.
Noel nicknamed Irvian "Sultan" because he was considered to have a lot of money in the Directorate General of Manpower Supervision and Guidance (Ditjen Binwasnaker) and K3 Kemenaker.
"IEG referred to IBM as 'Sultan,' meaning someone with a lot of money in the Ditjen Binwasnaker and K3," said KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto, as reported by Antara, Saturday (23/8/2025).
Noel even received a Ducati motorcycle from Irvian. "When asking for the motorcycle, IEG said to IBM, 'I know you ride big motorcycles. What motorcycle would be suitable for me?'" Setyo revealed.
In this case, Irvian allegedly received Rp69 billion in extortion money from 2019-2024. This money was used for personal needs, from shopping and entertainment to a down payment on a house.
However, in his State Officials Wealth Report (LHKPN) for the 2021 reporting period, Irvian only reported assets worth Rp3.9 billion.
The majority of his assets were in cash and cash equivalents totaling Rp2.21 billion. Irvian also owns a plot of land and building in South Jakarta valued at Rp1.27 billion.
He is also reported to own a Mitsubishi Pajero (2016) worth Rp335 million and other movable assets worth Rp75.25 million.
Until the end of 2021, this corruption suspect was recorded as having no debt. The following is a breakdown of Irvian Bobby's assets as reported in the 2021 KPK LHKPN:
* Cash and cash equivalents: Rp2,216,873,795
* Land and Buildings: Rp1,278,247,000
* Transportation: Rp335,000,000
* Other movable assets: Rp75,253,273
* Total assets: Rp3,905,374,068
