Public Satisfaction with the Performance of 6 Governors in Java Island, May 2025

Indicator surveying public satisfaction with the first 100-day performance of governors in 6 provinces on the island of Java.

West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi achieved the highest satisfaction rate, reaching 95%. This consists of 41% of respondents stating they were very satisfied and 54% quite satisfied.

According to Indikator researcher Burhanudin Muhtadi, the high public satisfaction with the West Java Governor is driven by his social media activity.

"There may be something related to KDM (Kang Dedi Mulyadi) himself with the general public, especially in West Java, supplied by his very positive ability on social media," said Burhanuddin in his online survey presentation, Wednesday (28/5/2025).

Below him is the Governor of Yogyakarta Special Region, Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X, with a public satisfaction rate of 84%, consisting of 18% very satisfied and 66% quite satisfied.

Meanwhile, East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa, Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi, Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung, and Banten Governor Andra Soni achieved lower public satisfaction, as shown in the graph.

This survey involved 3,100 respondents spread across 6 provinces. The details are: 500 respondents in Jakarta; 600 respondents each in West Java, Central Java, and East Java; and 400 respondents each in Yogyakarta Special Region and Banten.

All respondents were over 17 years old or had the right to vote. Data collection was conducted from May 12-19, 2025, through face-to-face interviews with trained interviewers. The survey's margin of error ranges from 4.1% to 5% at a 95% confidence level.
