Poltracking Indonesia conducted a survey on the electability of gubernatorial and vice-gubernatorial candidates in a simulation of the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election.

The pair Ridwan Kamil and Suswono achieved the highest electability, at 47.5%. They were followed by Pramono Anung and Rano Karno with 31.5%.

Poltracking Indonesia Executive Director Hanta Yuda stated that the two pairs have a 16% difference. This gap is not significant if the election were to be held within a week.

"However, the difference becomes smaller if the election is still far off, say two months. Therefore, fluctuations in Jakarta are still possible," said Hanta in an online presentation of his survey on Friday (September 27, 2024).

According to him, changes in the electoral map are still possible, following the electability trends of all candidate pairs.

Meanwhile, the electability of the independent pair Dharma Pongrekun and Kun Wardana was only 5.1%. Furthermore, 15.9% of respondents had not yet decided which gubernatorial and vice-gubernatorial candidates they would support.

This Poltracking survey involved 1,200 respondents in Jakarta who met the criteria of having voting rights or being married. The sample was selected using a multistage random sampling method.

Data collection was conducted from September 9-15, 2024, using face-to-face interviews. The survey has a margin of error of approximately 2.9% and a 95% confidence level.
