Piastri Wins in Hungary, Verstappen Remains Top of the 2024 F1 Standings

McLaren driver Oscar Piastri secured victory in the 2024 Formula 1 (F1) race at the Hungaroring Circuit, Budapest, Hungary, on Sunday (July 21, 2024). This marks Piastri's first F1 win.

Starting from second position, Piastri immediately took the lead and completed the 70 laps in 1 hour, 38 minutes, and 01.989 seconds.

His teammate, Lando Norris, followed in second place, 2.141 seconds behind. Lewis Hamilton completed the Hungarian GP podium with a considerably larger time margin of 14.880 seconds.

Max Verstappen could only manage a fifth-place finish. Despite this, the Red Bull driver still leads the 2024 F1 standings with 256 points, significantly ahead of other drivers.

Lando Norris is second in the 2024 F1 standings with 189 points, followed by Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc with 162 points.

The next 2024 F1 race will be held at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium, from July 26-28, 2024.
