2023 U-20 World Cup Stadium List: Which is the Largest?

The 2023 U-20 World Cup will be held in Indonesia from May 21 to June 11, 2023. This football tournament, involving 24 countries, will take place in six cities: Jakarta, Palembang, Bandung, Solo, Surabaya, and Bali.

The following is a list of stadiums and their capacities that will be used for the 2023 U-20 World Cup matches:

1. Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (Jakarta): 78,000 people
2. Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium (Surabaya): 45,000 people
3. Si Jalak Harupat Stadium (Bandung): 35,000 people
4. Gelora Sriwijaya Jakabaring Stadium (Palembang): 30,000 people
5. Manahan Stadium (Solo): 20,000 people
6. Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium (Bali): 18,000 people

The Chairman of the 2023 U-20 World Cup Organizing Committee (LOC), Erick Thohir, directly inspected the readiness of the infrastructure at these six stadiums from March 11-13, 2023.

"I will directly oversee the infrastructure renovation process, ensure that delayed completion is addressed, and that various outstanding tasks related to the field are taken care of before the U-20 World Cup begins," said Erick Thohir in his press release on Friday (March 10, 2023).

Erick stated that the preparation for the 2023 U-20 World Cup involves cooperation between the central and regional governments. This event is also a "practice" ground for Indonesia to host the 2034 World Cup.

"Hosting is the right moment for us to show the world that Indonesia is ready. As a note, PSSI plans to bid to host the 2034 World Cup. The U-20 World Cup is a test to ensure future success," said Erick.
