A Kompas Research and Development survey shows that there are a number of concerns among Indonesians regarding the Lebaran migration in 2026.
The most important issue is the heavy traffic during the migration and return journey, which worries 35.4% of respondents.
In addition, rising prices of goods and fuel, security, weather, and comfort during the journey are also concerns for respondents.

Kompas Research and Development noted that the ongoing US-Israel war against Iran is also fueling economic uncertainty.
The narratives in news reports and social media informing about the potential negative impact of the geopolitical situation have drawn significant public attention.
"Concerns about the impact of the war in the Middle East on the people's economic conditions will be a concern when celebrating Eid al-Fitr," Kompas Research and Development wrote in its report on Saturday (March 14, 2026).
The Kompas Research and Development survey involved 415 respondents spread across Medan, Palembang, Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Surakarta, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Denpasar, Banjarmasin, and Makassar.
The data collection was conducted online from March 6 to 10, 2026. The survey's margin of error is around 5% and the confidence level is 95%.
