The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) presented its analysis of the cost of the United States (US) and Israel's Operation Epic Fury to attack Iran.

The second-largest expense was compensation for combat losses and infrastructure repair, estimated at US$359 million, all of which had not been budgeted.

Meanwhile, the operational costs of the first 100 hours of Operation Epic Fury were estimated at US$196.4 million, with US$178.1 million of that already budgeted.

According to CSIS, the US military's switch to cheaper ammunition and a sharp decrease in Iranian drone and missile launches would drive down the cost of the war.

"However, future costs will greatly depend on the intensity of the operations and the effectiveness of Iran's retaliation," CSIS explained.
