According to social media analytics firm Drone Emprit, Anies Baswedan was the most popular presidential candidate (capres) on Twitter/X during the fifth 2024 Presidential Election debate. This is evident from the volume of netizen conversations on the platform.
Drone Emprit conducted this analysis during the debate, which took place on February 4, 2024, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM WIB.
During that period, Anies received the most mentions on Twitter, totaling 160,426.
The volume of mentions for the number one presidential candidate stemmed from searches using the keywords "Anies, Abah Owl, Abah Online, El Chef, Wan Angin, Park Ahn Nice, aniesbaswedan, capres 01, capres 1, and paslon 1".
"From the beginning to the end of the analysis period, the volume of conversations about Anies was consistently the highest," said Drone Emprit Founder Ismail Fahmi on his personal Twitter account on Monday (February 5, 2024).
Next was presidential candidate number two, Prabowo Subianto, who was mentioned 100,554 times using the keywords "Prabowo, prabroro, praboro, El Gemoy, Prabski, PrabowoSubianto, capres 02, capres 2, paslon 02, and paslon 2".
Meanwhile, presidential candidate number three, Ganjar Pranowo, received the fewest mentions compared to his two rivals, with 95,276 mentions.
This figure was obtained through keywords "Ganjar, GanjarPranowo, El Chudai, Den Wadas, capres 3, capres 3, paslon 03, and paslon 3".
Furthermore, Drone Emprit's report also found that Anies received the highest positive sentiment on Twitter, reaching 86%. Meanwhile, negative sentiment was 6% and neutral sentiment was 8%.
The positive sentiment Anies received included appreciation for his use of sign language in the debate's opening, his discussion of tuition fees using peer-to-peer lending, and his remarks about Prabowo's statement regarding the economy being controlled by a select few.
However, the former Governor of DKI Jakarta also received negative sentiment because some of his programs were considered to have already been implemented by the current government. Additionally, his supporters were deemed not to reflect the principles he espoused.
