Kompas Research and Development: Majority of Families Choose the Same Presidential and Vice-Presidential Candidates

According to the *Kompas* Research and Development's exit poll for the 2024 General Election, 51.5% of voters cast their ballots for the same presidential and vice-presidential candidates as their families.

Then, 24.7% of respondents admitted to having different choices for presidential and vice-presidential candidates, and 23.8% did not know.

The group of respondents who stated that their political preferences were the same as their families' came mostly from the *baby boomer* generation, with a proportion of 53.16%.

Meanwhile, the proportion of Generation Z respondents whose choices were the same as their families was the lowest, at 46%.

This *Kompas* Research and Development post-election survey involved 7,863 respondents randomly selected using a stratified systematic sampling method in 38 Indonesian provinces.

The survey was conducted on February 14, 2024, through face-to-face interviews. The survey's margin of error is approximately 1.1% with a 95% confidence level, under conditions of simple random sampling.
