Politika Research & Consulting (PRC) conducted a closed simulation survey of three prospective presidential (capres) and vice-presidential (cawapres) candidate pairs in September 2023. These pairs included Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (or Cak Imin), Prabowo Subianto-Erick Thohir, and Ganjar Pranowo-Ridwan Kamil.
The results showed that the Ganjar-Ridwan Kamil pair achieved the highest electability in East Java, at 40.3%. They were followed by Prabowo-Erick Thohir, who received 30.8% of respondent votes.
Meanwhile, the Anies-Muhaimin pair, who have declared their candidacy under the AMIN coalition, only managed to garner 18.6% of the vote from respondents in East Java.

On the other hand, 4.7% of respondents were still undecided. Another 5.7% stated they did not know or did not answer.
PRC also conducted an electability survey of the three prospective presidential candidates. As a result, Ganjar still received the highest vote in East Java, at 40.4%.
Below him was Prabowo, who achieved an electability of 32.2%. Anies was in third place with 18.3% of the vote from respondents in East Java.
"The survey we conducted shows that Ganjar Pranowo still surpasses the other two; Prabowo and Anies," said PRC Executive Director Rio Prayogo in an online presentation on Sunday, September 17, 2023.
This survey, titled "East Java Political Map Post-'AMIN' Pair Declaration," involved 1,200 respondents aged 17 and above or who were married. The sample was taken proportionally from 38 regencies/cities in East Java.
Data collection was conducted a few days after the Anies-Muhaimin declaration, from September 7-12, 2023, through face-to-face interviews. The survey has a margin of error of approximately 2.7% and a confidence level of 95%.
