Today's Food Prices (18/3) in East Java: Red Chili Up, Oil Down

Several food commodity prices in East Java today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Wednesday (March 18, 2026) at 18:05 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 2 decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken meat, red bird's eye chili, premium packaged palm cooking oil, large red chili, and loose granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as Minyakita and wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The large red chili commodity jumped the highest by Rp311 (0.83%) to Rp37,912 per kg. Meanwhile, Minyakita price dropped the steepest by Rp9 (0.06%) to Rp15,686 per liter.

5. Shallots: Rp35,825 per kg (up 0.22%)
6. Curly Red Chili: Rp35,473 per kg (up 0.83%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp30,432 per kg (up 0.08%)
8. Broiler Eggs: Rp29,513 per kg (up 0.19%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,264 per liter (up 0.04%)
10. Loose Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,516 per liter (up 0.2%)
11. Loose Granulated Sugar: Rp16,770 per kg (up 0.37%)
