Indonesia's 901 Listed Companies on the IDX as of Early November 2023: Who's the Newest?

According to data from PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI), a total of 901 issuers had listed on the domestic stock exchange by November 8, 2023.

"Today (Wednesday) marks a historic day for the development of Indonesia's capital market. Today, the number of listed companies on the BEI has successfully reached more than 900 companies," said BEI President Director Iman Rachman, as reported by Antara, Wednesday (8/11/2023).

This achievement was reached after three new issuers officially listed their shares on the exchange yesterday.

The three new issuers are PT Kian Santang Muliatama Tbk (RGAS) as the 899th listed company, PT Mastersystem Infotama Tbk (MSTI) as the 900th listed company, and PT Ikapharmindo Putramas Tbk (IKPM) as the 901st listed company.

Iman said that a total of 77 new issuers have emerged this year, raising a total of Rp54.3 trillion (approximately US$3.5 billion).

Globally, Iman continued, the BEI ranks fifth in terms of the number of IPOs and seventh in terms of funds raised. According to him, this shows that the Indonesian capital market is reliable and trusted as an alternative source of funding for growth.

"This achievement we have obtained is inseparable from the support provided by the government, the Financial Services Authority (OJK), all capital market stakeholders, and all companies that have participated and become an important part of the capital market's growth," said Iman.

The BEI reported that the average market capitalization of companies on the domestic stock exchange reached Rp10.3 trillion (approximately US$670 million), a 254.8% year-on-year (yoy) increase, while the average amount of funds raised and assets reached Rp837.7 billion (approximately US$54 million) and Rp4.8 trillion (approximately US$313 million), respectively, growing by 54.8% (yoy) and 146.1% (yoy).
