Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) reported a net profit of Rp3.04 trillion in 2022. This achievement represents an increase of approximately 28% year-on-year (yoy), setting a new record high over the past five years.
According to the official statement from the issuer with the stock code BBTN, this growth was primarily driven by mortgage loans (KPR).
"Mortgage loans remain the biggest driver of Bank BTN's business," stated BTN management in its press release (February 17, 2023).
In 2022, the disbursement of BTN mortgage loans grew by 9.23% (yoy) to Rp233.68 trillion. Within this segment, subsidized mortgage loans grew by 11.61% (yoy) to Rp145.86 trillion.
"With this performance, Bank BTN remains the market leader in subsidized mortgage loans with an 83% market share," said BTN management.
Overall, BTN's credit and financing grew by 8.53% (yoy) in 2022 to Rp298.28 trillion, accompanied by an 8.77% (yoy) increase in third-party funds (DPK) to Rp321.93 trillion.
By the end of 2022, BTN's loan-to-deposit ratio (LDR) remained stable at 92.65%, with a claimed healthy liquidity coverage ratio (LCR) of 238.50%.
BTN's gross non-performing loan (NPL) ratio also decreased by 32 basis points (bps) to 3.38% at the end of 2022.
