In addition to their work routine, Indonesian workers enjoy attending a variety of live or offline events in the past year. Festivals, such as culinary, cultural, or lifestyle events, have been the most popular.
This was revealed in a Populix survey conducted in 2025. The proportion of respondents who chose the festival option reached 61%.
The next most attended offline events were music concerts (42%), workshops/trainings (40%), sports matches (39%), community events (37%), and exhibitions (35%).
There were also respondents who attended professional conferences or seminars (20%), internal office events (19%), external office or company representative events (14%), and others (1%).
When looked at based on frequency, 41% of working respondents attended offline events one to two times a year.
Then followed 33% of respondents attending offline events 2-3 times, 14% attending 4-5 times, and 12% attending more than five times in the past year.
Populix conducted this survey online from August 21-26, 2025, involving 864 workers in Indonesia. The respondents consisted of 55% men and 45% women.
The majority of respondents were located on Java Island (79%), followed by Sumatra Island (12%), and other islands (9%). The respondents were dominated by the age group of 29-44 years (50%) and 17-28 years (41%).
