Do you know which bank offers the highest interest rates for mortgage loans (KPR)?

Artos Indonesia Bank and Yudha Bakti Bank set the highest interest rates for home ownership loans (KPR). Based on the base lending rate (SBDK) data compiled by Bank Indonesia in November 2016, both banks offered KPR interest rates above 15 percent per annum.

Private banks dominate seven out of the ten banks offering the highest KPR interest rates. The remaining three are Regional Development Banks (BPD), namely Bank Maluku, BPD Kalsel, and BPD Riau and Kepri. All ten banks offering the highest KPR interest rates provide interest rates for residential home ownership loans above 13.5 percent per annum.

In the fourth quarter of 2016, the residential property price index for small-sized properties increased by 3.28 percent compared to the same quarter in 2015. For medium-sized properties, the increase in the fourth quarter of 2016 was 2.65 percent compared to the same period the previous year. Similarly, the price index for large-sized properties also increased by 1.24 percent in the fourth quarter of 2016 compared to the fourth quarter of 2015.
