PT Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia (Persero) recorded a net profit of Rp 57.6 billion in 2020. This profit increased by 175.7% compared to the previous year.
According to RNI's Finance Director, Pramusti Indrascaryo, the company's positive performance last year was a pleasing achievement. This is considering that RNI recorded a loss of Rp 76.04 billion in 2019.
The 2020 profit was supported by sales from several business sectors. The largest contribution came from the pharmaceutical and health sector, at 43%. This was followed by the sugar agro-industry sector at 39% and general trade at 16%.
PT RNI's positive performance was due to several implemented strategies, such as cost leadership, product differentiation, and human resource empowerment. Through the implementation of cost leadership, the company managed to reduce operating costs by 18%.
The company's positive performance was also balanced by the realization of the 2020 Community Partnership and Environmental Development Program (PKBL), which reached 83.3%.
