2023 Data: Unemployment in Luwu Utara Regency is 2.63%

According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the open unemployment rate (OUR) in Luwu Utara Regency in December 2023 decreased by 0.18% to 2.63% compared to December 2022. Over the past six years, the open unemployment rate (OUR) has shown a downward trend, continuing the decreasing trend of the previous year.

Since 2018, the open unemployment rate (OUR) in Luwu Utara Regency has shown a decreasing trend in terms of numbers. Furthermore, the four years following the Covid-19 pandemic, starting in 2020, resulted in a decrease in the open unemployment rate (OUR) in Luwu Utara Regency.

Compared to other regencies/cities, the open unemployment rate (OUR) in this regency/city ranks 398th nationally. The national average open unemployment rate (OUR) in 2023 was 4.3%.

The reduction in the open unemployment rate (OUR) this year can be seen from the conditions of the number of the workforce and the number of employed people. The number of the workforce in Luwu Utara Regency has shown an upward trend over the past 16 years. Then, after the end of the Covid-19 pandemic, for the past four years, the number of the workforce has also been on an upward trend.
