Latest Banten Region Food Prices: Salt Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Monday (December 2nd, 2024) at 12:06 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 15 commodities increased in price and 6 decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, skipjack tuna, dry soybean (import), pure beef, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, red chilies, simple packaged cooking oil, SPHP rice, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp1,080 (9.92%), reaching Rp11,970 per kg. The price of corn at the farmer level saw the largest decrease, dropping Rp670 (8.35%) to Rp7,350 per kg.
