Food Prices Today in South Sumatra: Red Chili Up, Cayenne Pepper Down

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (27/8/2025) at 13:37 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices are bulk wheat flour, curly red chili, garlic cloves, kembung fish, and large red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour, medium rice, broiler eggs, red cayenne pepper, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Large red chili commodity surged the highest by Rp1,357 (3.94%) to Rp35,792 per kg. Meanwhile, red cayenne pepper price dropped the deepest by Rp315 (0.87%) to Rp35,885 per kg.
