Transportation Costs in Samarinda City Decreased by 2.38% in June

Passenger transportation inflation contributing components in Samarinda City in June decreased by 2.38%. This figure is lower than the previous month's 4.23%. Among the eight inflation groups measured in this region, the transportation group contributed -0.38% to inflation in Samarinda City.

The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) reported that the consumer price index (CPI) for transportation in Samarinda City was at 112.11 in June 2024, lower than the previous month's 114.84.

Compared to the same month last year, transportation inflation reached 25.21% (year-on-year/yoy). Compared to the beginning of the year, the prices of inflation-contributing components in Samarinda City have grown by 16.77% (year-to-date/ytd).

National inflation (general) in June 2024 was 0.12%, down from the previous month (month-to-month/m-to-m). Compared to the beginning of the year, national general inflation reached 1.04% (ytd), and compared to June 2019, inflation decreased by 23.07% (yoy).
