Food Prices in East Java Monday (8/9): Chili Prices Up, Onion Down

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (8/9/2025) at 08.42 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 17 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices were premium rice, chicken eggs, curly red chili, red cayenne pepper, and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour, medium rice, milkfish, consumption sugar, and consumption salt decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Red cayenne pepper commodity saw the highest jump of Rp1,840 (7.03%) to Rp28,000 per kg. The price of mackerel fish dropped the sharpest by Rp4,331 (12.28%) to Rp30,938 per kg.
