2026 City/Regency Minimum Wages in Central Java

The Central Java Provincial Government has set the regency/city minimum wage (UMK) in its region for 2026, in line with the provincial minimum wage (UMP) determination.

Through Governor's Decree Number 100.3.3.1/505, the Central Java UMP for 2026 is set at Rp2,327,386.07. This figure represents an increase of Rp158,037.07 or 7.28% from the 2025 UMP.

The UMP determination was calculated using the wage formula in Government Regulation Number 49 of 2025, taking into account provincial inflation of 2.65%, economic growth of 5.15%, and an alpha value of 0.90.

"This alpha value of 0.90 was not determined arbitrarily, but through clear calculations and parameters," said Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi in a press release on Wednesday (24/12/2025).

Subsequently, the UMK is calculated based on provincial inflation, the economic growth of each regency/city, and varying alpha values.

Luthfi emphasized that the minimum wage only applies to workers with less than one year of service. For laborers with more than one year of service, their wages follow the company's wage structure.

"This policy will be effective starting January 1, 2026. We hope all companies can comply with and implement these provisions," he said.

The 2026 UMK values in Central Java range from Rp2.33 million to Rp3.7 million per month. The highest UMK is in Semarang City, while Banjarnegara Regency has the lowest.
