Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Wheat Flour Up, Fish Down (Thursday, November 23, 2023)

Food prices in Central Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Thursday (23/11/2023) at 13:26 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased.

Packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) saw the highest increase, rising 0.72% or Rp90 to Rp12,660 per kg.

Next, the prices of farmer-level corn and shallots increased by 0.62% or Rp40 to Rp6,490 per kg and 0.55% or Rp180 to Rp32,700 per kg, respectively.

The price of granulated sugar increased by Rp80 or 0.49% to Rp16,320 per kg, red chili peppers increased by Rp350 or 0.4% to Rp87,800 per kg, and medium rice increased by Rp40 or 0.3% to Rp13,170 per kg.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, mackerel, skipjack tuna, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices decreased by 1.77% or Rp610 to Rp33,760 per kg, the lowest price decrease today in Central Java.

Mackerel prices were recorded at Rp33,880 per kg, down 1.28%; skipjack tuna prices decreased to Rp33,840 per kg from Rp34,160 per kg previously; and pure beef prices decreased by Rp900 to Rp130,330 per kg.
