Latest Food Prices in East Java: Chili and Onion Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (16/8/2024) at 12.09 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, iodized fine salt, dry soybean (import), broiler chicken, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, red chilies, mackerel, premium rice, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The commodity with the highest price increase was dry soybean (import), rising by Rp310 (2.93%) to Rp10,880 per kg. The sharpest price decrease was for curly red chilies, falling by Rp1,260 (3.56%) to Rp34,170 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in East Java according to Bapanas on August 16, 2024, at 12.09 WIB.
