Today's Food Price Update in Yogyakarta Special Region: Chili and Sugar Prices Rise (Sunday, March 3, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, D.I. today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (3/3/2024) at 13.06 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, simple packaged cooking oil, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), broiler chicken, and medium-grain rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, premium rice, curly red chilies, bulk wheat flour, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Medium-grain rice saw the highest price increase, jumping by Rp260 (1.8%) to Rp14,680 per kg. Bulk wheat flour experienced the largest price decrease, falling by Rp300 (3.12%) to Rp9,320 per kg.
