Indonesia's Latest Food Prices: Chili Prices Rise, Beef Prices Fall

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (2/12/2024) at 14.11 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 17 commodities increased and 3 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, medium-grain rice, garlic bulbs, skipjack tuna, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, pure beef, and broiler chicken decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna experienced the highest price increase of Rp460 (1.48%) to Rp31,490 per kg. Pure beef experienced the sharpest price decrease of Rp280 (0.21%) to Rp134,450 per kg.
