Latest Food Prices in West Java: Rice Rises, Buffalo Meat Falls

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today were observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (October 8, 2025) at 08:44 AM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 5 increased and 19 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include red cayenne pepper, premium rice, consumption salt, medium rice, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as consumption sugar, frozen buffalo meat (imported), Minyakita cooking oil, milkfish, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Medium rice saw the highest increase of Rp494 (3.72%) to Rp13,771 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of frozen buffalo meat (imported) experienced the deepest drop of Rp105,000 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
