Today's Food Prices in West Java: Salt Up, Rice Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (5/7/2024) at 13.42 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, premium rice, fine iodized salt, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and medium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken meat, SPHP rice, simple packaged cooking oil, bulk wheat flour, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Fine iodized salt saw the highest price increase, jumping by Rp80 (0.78%) to Rp10,350 per kg. The price of kembung fish saw the sharpest decrease, dropping by Rp320 (0.8%) to Rp39,450 per kg.
