Residents of Aceh Besar Regency spend Rp285.37 per capita per week on watermelon.

In Aceh Besar Regency in 2023, per capita weekly expenditure on watermelon was Rp285.37. This is lower than the previous year's expenditure, which was recorded at Rp476.68 per capita per week.

Average per capita expenditure is the cost incurred for the consumption of all household members over a month, including purchases, gifts, and self-produced goods, divided by the number of household members. Household consumption is categorized into food and non-food consumption, regardless of the origin of the goods, and is limited to household needs only, excluding consumption/expenditure for business purposes or given to others.

Expenditure on food consumption is calculated weekly, while non-food consumption is calculated monthly and for the past 12 months. Both food and non-food consumption are then converted into average monthly expenditure. The average per capita consumption/expenditure figures presented in BPS publications are obtained by dividing the total consumption of all households (both consuming food and not) by the total population.

Based on region, the highest per capita expenditure on watermelons was in Lamandau Regency, and the lowest was in Manggarai Timur Regency. Aceh Besar Regency ranked 303rd in watermelon expenditure. The national average per capita weekly expenditure on watermelons was Rp253.
